On Wednesday, groupware and open source email supplier Open-Xchange, declared that it has joined hands with the Spanish-based Acens, web host provider, to make its solutions available in Spanish hosting market.
Open-Xchange became an associate with cPanel for integrating its communication tools into the control panel last month.
Press release states that Acens is going to substitute its Atmail-based webmail system by Open-Xchange. In this way, Acens’ 300,000 email accounts will be getting Open-Xchange’s full webmail, integration and mobility capabilities.
CEO Acens, José Cerdán Ibáñez, stated that “Acens customers will be able to boost their individual productivity with Open-Xchange in the focal point of their online communication. They will see how Open-Xchange helps to efficiently manage calendars, contacts and messages from different email accounts, as well as social networks, from a single application.”
Open-Xchange is a system permanent on cloud environment, collaborating calendar, email, contact lists and task management along with advanced groupware features.
Likewise, it holds the mobile capability characteristic, allowing the customers to have push email and contacts & calendars’ management on the phones.
CEO Open-Xchange, Rafael Laguna, said in a statement, ”Acens will grant its customer base with Open-Xchange´s full-featured movable WebApp and collaboration capabilities free of charge for an initial trial period. We like that approach as we are persuaded that this innovative go gives Acens a real competitive advantage hostile to additional cloud offerings such as Microsoft Office 365 or Google Apps.”
