We’ve been effective on a groundbreaking new API for Pingdom and would now like to work together with a selection of beta testers to make sure it’s the best it can be before we release it into the wild.
This new API is part of a wave of backend development we’re doing here at Pingdom that will be the basis for taking our uptime monitoring service to new heights. We’re on the rise quick and have recently added several really talented developers to our team, and another hiring spree is coming up in a week or two for seven new positions. You will see a lot experience with Pingdom over the coming year.
We aim to make this a truly useful, flexible API. Many of you web developers out there will be pleased to hear that the new API is RESTful and uses JSON. It also has a lot more functionality than our ancient one.
We will only acknowledge a relatively small number of beta testers at this the boards, so we have limited our criteria somewhat:
This is the kind of feedback we will be looking for from you:
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to help make sure we give you all just the kind of API you want.
To apply, email beta@pingdom.com with “API” in the subject.
In the email, please tell us in this area yourself and what you want to accomplish with the API. This will make it simpler for us to see if you’re a excellent fit for this beta. We will of course grant all beta testers with API documentation, but if you have additional questions, please let us know.
We look forward to hearing from you!
