ShopSite, Inc. recently announced the release of the 11th version of their shopping cart system. ShopSite is an industry-leading provider of register and shopping cart software to small and medium-sized businesses. Also, the company is one of the leading providers of ecommerce software options for web hosting providers, web designers and Internet merchants. Hosting providers typically offer their shopping cart software within monthly packages.
Payment Application Data Wellbeing Standard
The new software provides many additional features that were missing from the previous version and has passed the PCI Wellbeing Council testing for Payment Application Data Wellbeing Standard (PA-DSS). The new functions allow for better integration with well loved third-party services such as, Facebook and Constant Contact.
Usage with Constant Contact
On Constant Contact, when an order is completed using ShopSite, the software will automatically send the customer’s name and email in rank to Constant Contact to subscribe to the retailer’s newsletter. When buyers make a hold, check-out is the ideal time to collect this in rank, which is exactly why this feature was integrated into the software.
Integration with Facebook
The integration with Facebook is tremendously convenient. For instance, the Facebook Store allows customers to shop for products while perusing the company’s Facebook site. This will allow customers to learn more in this area the company from which they are purchasing.
Additional Functionality
Another function is the ability to break login user accounts for each user that is accessing ShopSite’s back office. Similarly, the retailer will be given the ability to restrict specific user permissions and tear them into roles like Administrator, Content Management, Order Fulfillment, etc. based on their specific job function. Additionally, reports such as, sales, inventory and coupons, can be easily generated by the software. A full list of features is available on the website.
Supporters of the Software
ShopSite has sold hundreds of copies to some of the largest names in the web hosting industry such as; GoDaddy, LexiConn, YourHost.com, IPOWER, PowWeb, NTT/Verio and FatCow. With this most recent release, the list is sure to expand to include additional web hosting industry giants.
The 11th version of ShopSite appears to have corrected many of the issues with the 10th version while significantly increasing functionality. This will allow customers to have a better check-out experience thus humanizing repeat business at that site. The release of this curriculum is a win-win situation for all parties involved, especially the consumer.
